Using EFT Workshops to Grow Your Practice

Using EFT Workshops to Grow Your Practice

EFT workshops are a powerful way to introduce people to both EFT Tapping and to your EFT practice. Whether your audience is unfamiliar with tapping or wants to explore working with you, workshops can create awareness, build trust, and attract new clients.

Why EFT Workshops Work

Workshops allow potential clients to both learn about EFT Tapping and experience the benefits firsthand. People often attend with curiosity but leave with insight and even transformation. And you often leave with new clients.

Live EFT Workshops or Online EFT Workshops?

In today's world, you have two choices. You can choose to offer your EFT workshop locally or online.

Live EFT Workshops

Local, live workshops are increasingly uncommon and therefore can hold a certain appeal. People want to meet you in person, feel your vibe, and connect with you. These can be incredibly powerful, although they are very limited in scope.

This can work very well if you have a specific audience already built in.

For example, one practitioner teaches EFT workshops at the gym where she also works. Her potential clients already know and like her, so teaching a workshop on EFT is a perfect way to transition them from gym clients to EFT clients.

Another practitioner leads a fibromyalgia support group at her local hospital. By leading an EFT workshop for this audience, she is able not only to connect with her existing audience, but she is also able to develop her specialization by helping people with fibromyalgia.

But teaching a workshop without a designated audience will require some marketing prowess. And you may end up with only two or three friends at your workshop.

In a situation like this, it may be better to offer a Group Tapping event with a specific outcome in mind. The reality is that most people are interested in healing themselves or bettering their lives, but they aren't interested in "learning EFT" just to learn EFT.

But if you frame it as, "attend this group tapping session to get this specific outcome," your numbers will soar. Then you can teach EFT around the group tapping, and still convert your attendees into long-term clients. Deborah teaches a Group Tapping EFT Certification Specialization training for those who want to build a practice around group tapping workshops.

Online EFT Workshops

Online workshops offer a much more flexible, if less personal, option. Now instead of marketing to your limited local audience, the whole world is a potential client. With online platforms like Zoom or Google Meet, EFT practitioners can take clients online from the convenience of home from anywhere in the world.

My Best Advice

My best advice to anyone creating an EFT Workshop, whether it is live on online, whether it is teaching or group tapping, is to remember that the goal is for the potential client to see YOU as their solution, not EFT.

Over and over again, I have seen practitioners teach EFT workshops and walk out without any clients in the end. This is a failure ONLY in approach. Many people want to "teach EFT" in their workshops. I made this mistake many times in my career, which is why I can impart this little bit of wisdom here.

But I can tell you that "teaching EFT" in an Introductory EFT workshop is a trap. In the end, instead of enticing people to become clients, it sends them off to watch some videos online and learn more about it.

Instead, frame your workshop around YOU as the solution they have been looking for (because YOU ARE the solution they have been looking for!).

Think of it like this.

EFT is your tool. YOU are the one who can make the tool get them the result they want. In the same way that a Building Contractor is going to teach a workshop on how they can help you to plan and build your dream house, you will teach how to use EFT to help them build their dream life.  That same contractor is not going to get many people to use his services if he is teaching a workshop on how to use a hammer. The same is true if you teach your workshop teaching on how to do tapping.

Instead, you willl get much better results if you teach them how YOU, and your amazing skillset with this tool, can help them to have happier, healthier lives.

For example, teach them about the body's energy system and how trauma is stored in the system. Teach them how by clearing this blockage in the energy system using EFT, they can experience life-changing relief. Talk to them of the various issues that EFT can resolve and ask them what issues they are dealing with personally.

Then a short demonstration can be very powerful. Consider using:

  • Constricted Breathing Technique for immediate stress relief
  • Tapping for cravings using small treats like chocolate, wine, or chips
This approach is safer, fun, and creates a shared experience, and leaves the participants wanting to work with you directly to clear their own, personal issues one on one.

You may also consider offering a discount on a multiple-session offer. This is not so you can make more money, although it does help with that. It is because it is not fair to you or your client to have only one session. To get real transformation, at least 3 sessions is recommended.

Avoid

At all costs, avoid tapping on traumatic or core issues in a group setting without a specific plan in place. This very often goes bad unless the workshop is specifically designed to deal wtih trauma. Instead, keep the workshop focused on your specific goal and keep the workshop fun, informative, and light. But most importantly, guide them toward their ultimate solution, which is one one-on-one sessions with you. By giving participants a tangible path forward, you increase the likelihood that they will become long-term clients.

Conclusion

EFT Workshops, whether live or online, whether in a teaching format or a group tapping format, are a powerful way to build your successful EFT practice.
